Forbes High School and Orange High School are now part of the Girri Girri Sports Academy. These schools join Cowra High, Bourke High, Brewarrina Central, Condobolin High, Denison College -Kelso and Bathurst Campuses and Canobolas Rural Rechnology High School.
We also welcome new coordinators Scott Carpenter (Cowra), Daniel West (Forbes), Sarah Blades (Condobolin) and welcome back in 2009 Nathan Williams and Angela Cohen (Bourke), Rick Black (Brewarrina) and Nathan Rollinson (Bathurst and Orange).
The year ahead looks to be very exciting for members of the academy with the first major event to be held at Lake Burrendong.
A Sports Credential Camp will give opportunties for members to gain qaulifications across a number of sports including Touch Football, Rugby League and Sports Medicine.
Students will also commence the Certifcate 11 in Outdoor Recreation delivered by Western Institute of TAFE.
A good year looks like happening across Western Region with a trip to the snow planned in July as part of the Certificate 11 in Outdoor Recreation.
