Between 20 February 2008 and 2 April 2008 Academy Members were invited to "Tell us a story about your school holidays".

Kristy-lee's winning entry follows below:

Hey, my name is Kristy-lee. On the Christmas Holidays I went to my Nan's for a coulple of nights. She lives in Newcastle. We went to the beach and to the shopping mall. The mall was my favourite bit.

Then I went to my Dad's in Bourke for about three weeks. It was my third time there. It was really, really hot. On the weekend we went motorbike riding. I had a go on the two and four wheelers. It was heaps of fun. While my dad was at work I would go and hang out with my friends or watch some movies. Every afternoon we would go for a swim in the pool.
